Genesis – Responsive Slider

You must install Genesis – Responsive Slider plugin first and activate it.

Go to the plugin setting Genesis > Slider Setting. Click “Reset Setting” if you already use it before (it will remove your last saved setting from previous template). And follow this setting (scroll down for more theme setting):

Transition Settings
Time Between Slides (in milliseconds): = 4000
Slide Transition Speed (in milliseconds): = 800
Slider Effect: Select one of the following: = Fade

Display Settings
Maximum Slider Width (in pixels): = 1160
Maximum Slider Height (in pixels): 400
Display Next / Previous Arrows in Slider?= NO (unchecked)
Display Pagination in Slider? = YES (checked)

Content Settings
Display Post/Page Title in Slider? = YES (checked)
Display Content in Slider? = YES (checked)
Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices = YES (checked)
Select one of the following: = Display post content
More Text (if applicable): = Read More
Limit content to = 150 characters
Slider Excerpt Width (in percentage): = 50
Excerpt Location (vertical): = Top
Excerpt Location (horizontal): = Left

Maximum Slider Height (in pixels): 500

Display Pagination in Slider? = NO (unchecked)

Content Settings
Display Post/Page Title in Slider? = YES (checked)
Display Content in Slider? = YES (checked)
Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices = YES (checked)
Select one of the following: = Display post excerpts
More Text (if applicable): = Read Post
Limit content to = 150 characters
Slider Excerpt Width (in percentage): = 100
Excerpt Location (vertical): = Bottom
Excerpt Location (horizontal): = Right

SAVE the setting. Continue to next step.

Displaying the slider

Go to Appearance – Widgets, select “Genesis – responsive slider”, add it to Slider Widget – Home. This slider will only appear on Homepage.
