After Importing the Demo Content
Once you’ve successfully imported the demo content (you’ll know it’s successful when your website looks the same as the Celine demo site homepage and style), you can start customizing it to fit your brand.
Below are my notes and an overview of common areas you may want to edit. Please continue following the rest of the tutorial series, as this page is only a summary to help you get started and make your site look good.
Homepage
Celine comes with two homepage layout options: Wellness (view demo) and Coaches / Virtual Assistant (view demo).
You can use either one for your business or even combine both. You can copy blocks from one homepage to another by customizing Kadence blocks, or import blocks from other pages using the Kadence block library.
To set which page will be your homepage: Go to Settings > Reading → select “A static page” → choose your desired homepage.(Full tutorial: here)
Navigation (Menus)
One of the most common questions I get is: “Can I add more menu items?”
The answer: Yes! You can:
- Add or remove menu items
- Create dropdown menus
- Reorder items as you like

You can also create a different mobile menu that only shows on mobile devices.

Editing Pages
To edit your pages:
- Go to Admin > Pages > All Pages
- Select the page you want to edit (e.g., About, Services, Link in Bio, Contact, etc.)
- Open the editor and customize the blocks.

Blog
After installation, you should delete my demo posts:
- Go to Admin > Posts
- Bulk select the demo posts
- Click delete
To add your own blog content:
- Create a new post (do not edit demo posts)
- Always add at least one Featured Image per post (this ensures your post displays correctly in blog feeds and archives). Tutorial: https://support.skyandstars.co/article/missing-empty-featured-image/
Blog Categories
You don’t need to create separate blank pages for categories.
As long as you assign a post to a category, WordPress automatically generates a category archive page for you.
You can then add these category links to your navigation menu.
Fonts, Colors, and Other Settings
You can adjust fonts, colors, and many other global settings from: Appearance > Customize
Kadence is a powerful page builder, and most aspects of your site can be customized here.
